Inkallpa Inn: A Night In The Sacred Valley

I was a little uncertain as to what to expect of this hotel. We’ve all been there . . . booked a place that looked beautiful online, only to arrive and it doesn’t deliver. Inkallpa was just as beautiful online as it is in person, and I’m glad this is where we were resting our bodies for the night. It had been an extremely long day, with very little sleep, and our room was a very welcomed sight.

Inkallpa is located in Urubamba, Sacred Valley. The Inkallpa property was surrounded by the Andes Mountians. The scenery was breathtaking (I’m always a sucker for beautiful scenery). The property is family owned and run. They are extremely cautious of efficiently using their power and water, and not polluting their environment.

We stayed in a standard sized room, that was extremely spacious, with three twin sized beds to accommodate us. The décor was beautiful throughout the entire property. The sink was separate from the shower and toilet, but the shower had wonderful water pressure!!

The property consists of a main area to congregate in. This is where you check in, location of the bar and where you can use the wifi. The wifi was very slow while everyone was gathered here, so I wasn’t able to use it. If you would like to try Pisco Sour on your trip, it’s available at the bar. In fact, the best Pisco Sour I had on my trip was from this bar. If you ask the bartender, they are willing to show you how to make some of the local drinks.

In addition to the common area, there is also a restaurant and spa. We arrived later in the day and weren’t able to take advantage of the spa; but it looked so relaxing! We did take advantage of the free breakfast in the restaurant! It was laid out in a “buffet” style. The hot chocolate was very welcoming on a cold morning, and the orange juice was delicious! We came to find out that it was fresh squeezed orange juice! Inkallpa Inn is a hidden jewel in the middle of the Sacred Valley. My only regret was that we only stayed one night!
